Why Merope?
Merope is the faintest of the Pleiades' seven bright stars, and in the old stories the one who hides her face. Good proofreading and clean data work the same way: when it's done right, nobody notices it. We want your readers and your records to notice only what you meant to say.
About me
I work in product support, where the job is to help people solve problems clearly and patiently. I bring that same care to proofreading and data entry: I read closely, check twice, and treat your work the way I would want mine treated.
Helping people comes naturally to me, and family comes first in my life. That shapes how I run Merope: reliable, honest about timelines, and respectful of both your time and your information.
How a project works
Simple from first message to final file.

- Approve & payApprove the quote, then pay securely through your Square invoice before work begins.
- We do the workCareful first pass, then a second check against the original.
Invoices are handled through Square. Clients can pay by credit/debit card or bank transfer (ACH when available), and Merope never receives or stores your full card number.

Pay your invoice securely
There is no payment required when you request a quote. After we review your project and you approve the quote, you'll receive a Square invoice for the exact amount agreed upon and the expected delivery date.
Your individual Square invoice contains the payment link for your project. Merope does not use a generic payment button or collect payment-card numbers through this website.

What I collect
When you request a quote, you give me your name, email address, the service you need, project size, deadline, any notes, and any files you attach.
How it is used
Only to reply to your request, prepare a quote and carry out your project. I do not sell your information, use your files for marketing, or share them with anyone beyond the services needed to run this site.
Who handles it
This site is hosted by Cloudflare. The quote form is delivered by FormSubmit, an email-forwarding service, which sends your request and attachments to my email inbox. Payments are handled through Square's secure payment and invoicing services. These providers process your information to deliver it, under their own privacy terms. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, and FormSubmit's spam check (Google reCAPTCHA) runs when you send a request. The site has no advertising or analytics trackers.
Confidentiality
Your documents and data are treated as confidential. I am the only person who sees them.
Keeping and deleting files
I keep your files only as long as needed to finish your project. Within 30 days of delivering the completed work, I delete them from my devices and email, unless you ask me to keep them or to delete them sooner.
Please do not send
Passwords, full payment card numbers or government ID numbers through the form. If your project includes sensitive personal data, tell me first so we can agree on a safe way to share it.
Other people's information
If your files contain other people's personal information, please make sure you have the right to share it with me for your project.
Your choices
You can ask what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it at any time by emailing meropeproof@gmail.com. If my practices change, I will update this page and its date.
